After loosing my father three years ago and my best friend in January, I listen to this song and think that my loss is nothing compared to Horatio, who lost four daughters and a son. I think of Mary, who raised Jesus and then had the terrible experience of seeing her son slaughtered. I think of Mary, and my loss seems small in comparasion. Bless the mother of the Lamb. For she had to endure unthinkable sorrow.
