Larry has that music score completed if you wish to download it. This week we have another new song and new lyrics writer: Joy Chastagner. Joy sent me several poems. One of them really clicked and I wrote some music for it. The new song is called "In The Pages of the Bible". The style is more of a traditional gospel sound than I have ever done before. That should please all of you who have been asking for more traditional music. My friend Larry Holder is working on a music score for the new song. It will be 4 part harmony and geared toward a men's quartet. It should be available in a few days. In the meantime, enjoy the midi and the lyrics. Here are the lyrics... ================================= (Verse 1) Does your heart ache to know God? Are you waiting to hear Him? Do you look to the heavens Seeking a sign? Are you anxious for answers? Are you frightened and weary? Do you sense that something is missing inside? (Chorus) In the pages of the Bible, I have heard God’s voice whispering there. In the pages of the Bible, I have walked with my Savior, And found my way home. (Verse 2) Come and open the pages, You can hear Jesus calling. There are glimpses of glory Waiting there. In the words He has written Lonely hearts find a Savior. Come and drink from the fountain And meet Him in prayer. (Repeat Chorus) In the pages of the Bible, I have heard God’s voice whispering there. In the pages of the Bible, I have walked with my Savior, And found my way home. I have walked with my Savior, And found my way home. I found my way home. Larry Holder is working with me on the lyrics and Rhesa Siregar is helping with the midi. Until next time, may God richly bless you as you sing His praises! Yours in Christ, Elton Smith http://songsofpraise.org
