   Samuel Clemens was a famous American author. His pen name was Mark Twain. During his life he had many occupations. He was a newspaper writer, a steamboat pilot, a soldier, a storyteller, lecturer, and author. Some of his most famous writings are Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, The Prince and the Pauper, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. He once wrote a story about a jumping frog also. On the day he was born and the day he died Halley's comet was visible in the sky.
