Colossians 1:15, 16 is a portrayal of Christ as Creator. The word, Christ (which translated means Messiah), is often associated with two other words: "Lord" and "Savior." (You've probably even heard a Super Bowl winning quarterback in his post-game interview say, "First, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ...") But do we really understand what Christ's "Lordship" means? My hope is that the Holy Scriptures will enlarge your vision of who Jesus Christ is. - Steve Israel, October 4, 2009
(Verse)
You are the image of the invisible God
The firstborn over all creation
And by Your power all things were created
Things in heaven and in all the earth
(Chorus)
Visible and invisible
Whether thrones or powers
Or rulers or authorities;
Everything was created by You
And for You
And for You
Needs work- sorry. Some places are too wordy which messes with the flow. The chorus could have different lines rather than repeating the same one over and over. OR?- the second chorus could have different lines. I look for things to present to my praise team that I sing in. I would attempt to rewrite the lyrics before I bought it to use. Oh, and we would need an accompaniment. Very much like the recording- I liked it. cheryl (cherylsi_AT_live_DOT_com) 2011-08-09
