The trees at Mesa Verda burned a few years earlier. We saw this one on the road leading into the park.

Sassifrass	2008-09-06	I love how this tree's branches are all curved all over the place!!! And all twisted up towards the sky, its funny how branches grow towards the sky but the trunk stays the same...
