Yurok indian village at Patrick's Point State Park. Outside the house. This village was built by the Yurok in 1990. The buildings are constructed of redwood. The Yurok indian houses were used by the men and older boys to store possessions, but not for living except in danger or bad weather. The women and children lived in the houses. The entrances were small and round to prevent grizzly bears from entering the house.
