Jochebed was the wife of Amram. They had two children, Miriam and Aaron. Then they had a baby boy. At that time the Pharaoh of Egypt was having all the baby boys killed because he feared the Israelites. Moses' parents hid him for three months. His mother took a basket, covered it with asphalt to waterproof it and placed her baby son in the basket. She took him to the river and placed him in the water. His sister Miriam watched to see what would happen. Pharaoh's daughter was bathing there and found the baby. Her heart was touched. Miriam went to get a nurse for the baby; their mother of course. The family trained Moses during his early years and then he went to live in the palace as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He became a prince of Egypt, but he never forgot the things his mother had taught him.
