Ernest Hemingway was a famous American author. He enjoyed writing stories when he was young. When he grew up he wrote many novels. "The Old Man and the Sea" won the Pulitzer Prize and in 1954 the Nobel Prize for Literature. During World War 1 he was an ambulance driver for the Red Cross. He was constantly looking for adventure and trying to prove his bravery. He enjoyed attending the bullfights in Spain and once participated in the running of the bulls. At different times in his life he lived in Cuba, Florida, and Idaho.
