As a teenager, I worked a lot on my father's farm. We lived out in west Texas and it was often very dry. Some years we didn't make a crop at all. Many an hour I would drive the tractor, hoping for rain. God's mercy is like rain that falls on His people, helping them grow. - Elton, April 17, 2000
(Verse 1)
Jesus calls, listen to the words He said:
"Come to Me, taste the neverending bread".
His loving kindness
Is like a beacon in the night that shows The Way
Won't you hear the Savior's call?
His tender mercy
Is like a shower in the desert bringing life
Feel the rain begin to fall.
The rain is falling,
The Lord is calling,
His voice again and again and again is pleading with you.
(Second Verse, same as the first)
Jesus calls, listen to the words He said:
"Come to Me, taste the neverending bread".
His loving kindness
Is like a beacon in the night that shows The Way
Won't you hear the Savior's call?
His tender mercy
Is like a shower in the desert bringing life
Feel the rain begin to fall.
The rain is falling,
The Lord is calling,
His voice again and again and again is pleading.
The rain is falling,
The Lord is calling,
His voice again and again and again is pleading.
The rain is falling,
The Lord is calling,
His voice again and again and again is pleading with you.
(Ending)
Jesus calls, listen to the words He said:
"Come to Me, taste the neverending bread
Of life".
