The Son of Man

The wonder of the Son of God becoming a human being is the center of the Christmas story. During his ministry, Jesus several times referred to himself as the “Son of Man,” which to his hearers had messianic implications.
So this Christmas season, as you listen to this song, ponder these two verses from the Holy Scriptures:
“And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’” Luke 2:10-11
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." - Luke

Who spread out the heavens in glorious splendor?
Who holds the stars in His hands, in His hands?
Who filled up the oceans, raised majestic mountains,
And who became the Son of Man?
The Mighty One, the Holy One,
Became the Son of Man!
The Great I AM, the precious Lamb,
Became the Son of Man!
Who knows every heartache,
all our hopes and longings?
Who holds your heart in His hands, in His hands?
Who, full of compassion left His home in heaven
And became the Son of Man?
The Mighty One, the Holy One,
Became the Son of Man!
The Great I AM, the precious Lamb,
Became the Son of Man!
The King who reigns eternally
Laid aside His robes of royalty
And wrapped in our humanity,
Jesus gave His life for you and me!
The Mighty One, the Holy One,
Became the Son of Man!
