It took us two tries to write this song, but it was worth the wait and effort. I just love the sounds of Africa. Hope you do, too. Check out Larry's popular web site for more great music. - Elton, May 12, 1998
(Introduction)
In the coming of Messiah,
In the coming of our King,
There is joy throughout the ages
For the blessing He will bring.
Upon the throne of David's line,
His reign shall never end.
Came a servant for the sinner,
Son of Man from Bethlehem.
As a kinsman and redeemer,
Conquered death and rose again.
Now with the Father glorified,
His love shall never end.
The love of God outpoured
In mercy and in might:
Restored the soul of man,
Exchanged the wrong for right.
Removed the shackles
That had held us for so long;
Replaced despairing
With rejoicing and a song.
He shall come again for certain
In the manner that He rose.
He shall gather His beloved,
For His sheep, the Shepherd knows.
Unto His glory we'll arise,
And life shall never end.
The love of God outpours
In all that He has done;
By grace transforming us:
A stranger to a son!
The Revelation of
The One who set us free
Completes the Genesis
For all eternity!
(Short solo)
In the coming of Messiah,
In the coming of our King,
There is joy through all creation
For the blessing He will bring.
Upon the throne of David's line,
His reign shall never end.
Our Lord shall come again!
