In All Our Dreams
Written by Elton Smith and Lorraine Gordon
This is the first song Lorraine and I have written together. She lives in New Zealand and a friend of hers sent me this poem (much to her surprise). When I contacted her, she was very happy to have it made into a song. I did some arranging, but the words are hers. - Elton, August 9, 1998
(Introduction)
(Verse 1)
In quietness we seek Your Presence.
In solitude, we call Your Name.
In wonder, we bow low to worship,
Mighty God, always the same.
(Chorus)
In all our dreams, You are the sweetest.
In all our thoughts, the purest dove.
Lord I pray that I may worship,
Know Your Truth
and give Your love.
(Verse 2)
All the things that we hold sacred
Can't compare, my God, to Thee.
Teach me how to love You fully
and thank you Lord for loving me.
(Chorus and Ending)
In all our dreams, You are the sweetest.
In all our thoughts, the purest dove.
Lord I pray that I may worship,
Know Your Truth
and give Your love.
Know Your Truth
and give Your love.
