Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach

If you take Highway 26 west from Portland, it's about 90 miles to the Pacific coast. Turn left at the coast and you will arrive in Cannon Beach Oregon. We visited on June 18, 2017. According to Wikipedia, "Composed of basalt, Haystack Rock was formed by lava flows emanating from the Blue Mountains and Columbia basin about 15-16 million years ago".
