Ecola State Park tsunami sign

From Cannon Beach we drove north to Ecola State Park. This was not the first tsunami warning sign we saw. Everyone on the Oregon coast is waiting for "the big one" to occur. According to Wikipedia, "The geological record reveals that 'great earthquakes' (those with moment magnitude 8 or higher) occur in the Cascadia subduction zone about every 500 years on average, often accompanied by tsunamis".
