This song took a long time to write. I wrote the music for the verse and Gilberto wrote the music for the chorus. Larry wrote the lyrics. I created the midi in 2 parts: the introduction and ending were done by hand using Cakewalk. The rest (the part with the drums) was done with Band in a Box. Just follow the trombone for the melody. - Elton December 11, 1998

(Verse 1)
Humble Son of God from Bethlehem
Came to give His all for mortal men
And turn our night to golden day--
On the cross He bore all of my sin
Now by His grace, I live again:
His atoning blood washed my sins away!
Is it any wonder I call Him Lord?
Is it any wonder I love His Word?
By His grace and love, He has set me free--
Jesus, holy Lord, every praise to You!
By Your grace alone, I am born anew;
I will sing Your praise for eternity!
(Verse 2)
One day soon, our Lord will call us home;
Greater joy than we have ever known:
We will meet our Savior face to face.
We'll rejoice with those who've gone ahead,
At His table break the living Bread,
Singing praises of His amazing grace!
Is it any wonder I call Him Lord?
Is it any wonder I love His Word?
By His grace and love, He has set me free--
Jesus, holy Lord, every praise to You!
By Your grace alone, I am born anew;
I will sing Your praise for eternity!
(Solo)
Is it any wonder I call Him Lord?
Is it any wonder I love His Word?
By His grace and love, He has set me free--
Jesus, holy Lord, every praise to You!
By Your grace alone, I am born anew;
I will sing Your praise for eternity!
Jesus, holy Lord, every praise to You!
By Your grace alone, I am born anew;
I will sing Your praise for eternity!
